Ship your gear to Reno. We load it for you.

You should not have to drive a loaded truck across the country to get to the playa. Send your gear to our receiving address, and it will already be in your trailer when you take handoff.

How it works

Four steps

  1. 01

    Add it to your build

Tell us roughly how many packages to expect so we know what to watch for.

  2. 02

    Ship after July 1

Pack and send it yourself, or order it from Amazon and have it shipped straight to us.

  3. 03

    We receive and confirm

Every package is logged on arrival and we confirm each one with you.

  4. 04

    We load your trailer

Everything goes in before handoff, so your gear is on board when you collect it.

Your options

Two ways to get your gear here

Pack it and ship it yourself, or buy it on Amazon and send it straight to us. Those are the only two routes we accept.

Option one

Ship it yourself

Pack your own boxes at home and send them with any carrier we accept. This is the route to use for gear you already own, anything you have packed carefully, and anything you want to keep together in one box.

  • Number every box — “1 of 6”, “2 of 6”.
  • Write your package reference on the box in marker, not just on the label.
  • Keep your own tracking. We confirm each package as it lands, but chasing one that has not is between you and the carrier.

Option two

Order from Amazon, shipped to us

Buy it on Amazon and set our receiving address as the delivery address at checkout. If you have Prime, this is usually cheaper than shipping a box you packed yourself, and it saves you hauling gear home first just to send it back out.

  • Amazon only — no other websites. This one is strict. A shipment from any other retailer will be refused at the door.
  • Put your package reference in the second address line. It prints on the label, and it is the only way to mark a box you never touch.
  • Expect it to arrive in pieces. Amazon splits an order across several cartons, and each carton counts against your 20-package limit.

How you get the address

Sent with your confirmation

We send the receiving address once shipping is added to your booking and paid for, along with a package reference that is unique to you.

Address every package to your own full name care of Trailers on Playa LLC. On a box you packed, write the reference on the outside in marker as well — labels get torn off in transit, and a box we cannot match to a booking is a problem for both of us. On an Amazon order, put the reference in the second line of the delivery address instead, since you never have the carton in your hands.

We do not publish the address, so please do not ship anything before you have it from us. A package that turns up unannounced has nobody's name against it.

We cannot accept

  • Anything fragile or irreplaceable
  • Live plants or animals

Pack it so we can track it

For boxes you pack yourself. On an Amazon order, the reference in the address line and the packing slip do this job for us.

  • Number your boxes. “1 of 6”, “2 of 6”. We can tell you immediately if something has not landed.
  • Write your name on the box itself. Not just on the shipping label.
  • Keep each box under one person's carry. Heavier boxes get loaded last and handled worse.
  • Seal it for a warehouse, not a doorstep. It may sit for a few weeks before it is loaded.
